Tum’s Resort: A Cheap Hotel in Oslob, Cebu
Tum’s Resort is one of a kind accommodation in Southern Cebu. Tum’s Resort has a unique structure, it has a capsule-like exterior design. Tum’s Resort is located at Brgy. Looc, Oslob. It’s a 20-minute tricycle ride away from Brgy. Tan-awan, where the Whale shark interaction is.
We were from Kawasan Falls and endured a long bus ride just to get to Oslob. We were so exhausted that we badly needed a full rest. The moment we stepped in to the Tum’s Resort property our exhaustion paid-off. We forgot how dead-tired we were that same time. There were cabanas around the area, a hammock under the tree. That time all I can utter time was, “Finally, I’m away from the busy city!” The song of the wind and the sound of waves crashing on the shore felt like a silvery dream.
The staffs were very accommodating plus props to their warm welcome and smiles.
Out there through the large glass windows you can already sight the calm sea. The white wall seems like has a Santorini vibes with a bit of a modern twist. Almost everything in the room was spilled with white paint. There’s a flat LCD to entertain us by. Also, they have a fast Wi-Fi connection so big thumbs up! But for me, the most entertaining thing in Tum’s Resort is its scenery. Would you believe that we got to enjoy the incredible view for only PHP 2000+?
We took a quick nap and suddenly it is dinner time. Dining by the bay with the briskly wind crashing onto our faces, laughter and beautiful stories made that night so special. The staff of Tum’s Resort (I forgot the name) was so helpful that night. After we had sumptuous dinner, we calmed ourselves down and eventually we all went to hit the sack. We needed a lot of energy for the next morning’s whale shark interaction.
We woke up and we were surprisingly greeted by the breaking of dawn that painted the sky unbelievably beautiful colour. Then we went downstairs and managed to do carb-loading. Tum’s Resort served our breakfast just right in time. Then off we go to the whale shark interaction (Watch our Cebu – Bohol tour video)
If I would share negative things about Tum’s Resort, first would be the water supply. There were times that we had to take a bath to other bathroom which is the shared one. They are not to be blamed. The low water supply is typical in Oslob as per the staff. Secondly, one night we just woke up that our things were already soaking to the waters coming down from the roof. How come? The next morning, I immediately reported the incident to one of the staff and explained to methat it is due to water tank. He deeply apologized for the incident. I bet Tum’s Resort should address this problem soon as they can because it might tarnish their good standing. And lastly, the bathroom’s door has a privacy issue. I would suggest that Tum’s Resort would put a darker frosted sticker for the glass door.
Update as of July 27, 2016: Tum’s Resort has already addressed the said issue with the water tank and water supply. As per Ms. Jessie (the owner), it’s already a thing of the past. In addition, the management will right away be addressing the issue regarding the bathroom’s door. All in all, slow clap for the management of Tum’s Resort for valuing our feedback.

In conclusion, we totally enjoyed our entire stay. The bed linens were clean and the beds were comfy that we had a good night sleep. The service is superb! The most noteworthy is their free guide that will help you to roam around the town. Looking forward to go back in Tum’s Resort soon!
