NBA Café Manila
One rainy night my family decided to go out to celebrate my sister’s birthday through dinner. My sister and her family were just here in PH for the holidays. Since, her husband is such a basketball fan, we finally decided to visit the NBA-themed café.
NBA Café Manila is an American sports bar and grill, the first of its kind outside the United States. It showcases different NBA memorabilia and a community hall where you can watch NBA games together.
They serve a group meal but then we were so doubtful with the number of servings it can cater. So we just opted to order a la carte meals. We ordered a lot of food but I forgot to take photos of each. (Sorry!)
Buffalo Chicken Wings served with Honey Glazed Potato Wedges for P400.00
This one is the bomb by far. I liked how they incorporated the flavors on these. Worth the wait!
Penne for P375.00
Served with sun and dried tomatoes, pesto sauce and pine nuts. I really loved this dish! The penne pasta were cooked al dente. And since I’m into cooking of pesto pasta I really appreciated its distinct taste. I would really recommend this one. And mind you, the serving is quite big and worth the sharing.
Southern Style Fried Chicken with Cashew Fried Rice and Salad in Honey dill Vinaigrette for p400.00
This dish disappointed me to the extreme that I’ve decided not to finish it anymore. The chicken legs were so ‘bloody’ and the flavor is too bland. What I liked about this dish was the salad, I liked the zucchini. But I won’t go back and order this ever again.
Overall, our NBA Café Manila experience was disappointing talking about the taste and price. I don’t know if we just ordered the wrong ones. Also, the service crews were slow and kind of unprofessional. However, this is a great place to eat for those who are really passionate about basketball.
