Motivation: How I Lost 10 Pounds in 2 Weeks
Who would have thought that a person can lose 10 pounds in less than a month. Of course at first some would think “it’s impossible” or “it’s not true”. Based on my experience I could say that it’s not impossible to lose weight fast if you have dedication and work really hard for it. Just like what Jean Paul said “No Rest Is Worth Anything Except The Rest That Is Earned“. Interesting isn’t?
In the latter part of this entry, I will show you my progress and how far I’ve cut down in just 2 weeks. Also, I will show you some of the photos taken from the first day and last day of my 2 weeks work out. But before anything else, I would like to inform you that all the routine of my workout is based on what I’ve learned from reading fitness articles and helpful tips from my gymaholic friends. Yeah! as in GYMAHOLIC!
Again, in order to to lose weight fast you really need to remind yourself everyday about your daily workout plan and diet meal plan. Some of you might wondering, “How about supplements?” Yes it’s fine to take supplements but make sure you consult with professionals. However, in my experience cutting down weights, I did not recommend using supplements since I have not tried it even once. Check out my workout checklist below.
My Day Workout Checklist:
- Walk for 20-30 minutes in a day.
- Workout your ass at the gym.
- Make friends through sports.
- Condition and workout your mind.
- Eat less, drink more.
Before I elaborate each number on the checklist, I’ll show you first the 2 photos of my body and weight/pounds before starting the first day of my workout.
My weight on November 10, 2015 was 190 lbs – pounds / 86 kilo.
#1 Walk for 20-30 minutes in a day.
Basically what I did on the first 2 weeks of my workout is to walk 2.6 kilometers per day. It takes me 20-30 minutes of walking from gym to my house. This does not necessarily mean that you just have to walk all the time. You can do running or jogging on your free time but the best time is morning and evening. I suggest that you should run with your friends. Why? because it’s more fun to be with your friends and you motivate each other to be fit at the same time.
#2 Workout your ass at the gym.
After walking or running. Now let’s burn those fats at the gym. In my case, I workout at the gym 4 days in a week and I spend 3-4 hours working out. I know that some of you is having a hard decision to find the best workout time at the gym because of personal business, office work, studying etc. Always try to find time to workout your ass at the gym if you really want to lose 10 pounds quickly. Make your daily list of what you need to do for your entire day because time management is the real key.
If you are a beginner and don’t have any idea how to start, you can hire your own personal trainer but of course you gonna pay him/her every month, depending on your agreement. However, if you don’t want to spend money for an instructor, ask any of your friends who also go to gym to help you on your first week workout. I started working out with the help of my so called “gymaholic” friends and they helped me out on my first week. I memorized all the routine and carefully understand all the things they told me on the first week, so that, on the next week I already know the routine of my workout.
My Weekly Gym Workout Program:
Monday: Chest, Bicep and Abs
Tuesday: Abs and Legs
Wednesday: Back, Tricep and Abs
Thursday: Abs and Legs
Friday: Shoulder, Bicep, Abs
Saturday: Abs and Legs
Sunday: Rest Day
Our main goal here is to lose weight and not to gain weight. So, we should not focus on lifting heavy weights, we just have to focus on lifting light weights with many repetitions. You are free to use my weekly gym workout and of course you can also make your own.
#3 Make friends through sports.
Do you have any sports? Like basketball, soccer, badminton, volleyball etc. Of course we all know that those physical sports can really help you to lose weight. Play your favorite sports with your friends or office colleagues during your free time or by joining any sports leagues outside or inside your workplace. By that, you are not only burning your fats but you also making new friends that could invite you anytime playing your favorites sports.
#4 Condition and workout your mind.
A successful person not only workout their body but also their mind. Find some time to read articles or watch videos about fitness. Yes, we learn so much from our friends or gym mates but that’s not enough. We need to learn from others not only from someone we know already, there so much out there that who can also motivate us and could step up our work routine. It will help us to get motivated everyday because we want to achieve the body they have right now that they worked so much for.
#5 Eat less, drink more.
We are now down to our last. Well, on this part I’ll just list down all the things I did on the first two weeks losing pounds:
- I eat all the food that I want, seriously. But I track my 1200 calories per day and I eat less of course.
- I drink water all the time because it helps increase metabolism
- I avoid sugary foods and beverages. However, I eat desserts every Sunday to satisfy my cravings. Seriously!
- I often eat fruits like banana and apple all the time when I feel so hungry.
- I stay away from instant noodles and bread because it’s high in calories and hard to digest.

Plus, I suggest you should listen to any upbeat music before up to the end of your workout.
