JIN-ZAI TAKOYAKI: BEST TAKOYAKI IN MANILA
Takoyaki is probably one of the many on-the-go snacks of Filipinos nowadays. The word ‘tako’ means octopus and ‘yaki’ means fried – in a simpler words, takoyaki is not takoyaki if it does not have octopus in it! Luckily, a food stand decided to do it in the right way! Jin-Zai Takoyaki started to make takoyaki an interesting palate experience by doing it in the Japanese way since March 2016.
Takoyaki is a popular Japanese snack that is in the shape of little round balls that is fried in a special molded pan. Usually it is made with batter that has a wheat flour base and is commonly filled with minced octopus, bonito flakes, green onions, and pickled ginger. It is commonly served with sauce and mayonnaise.
Currently, Jin-Zai Takoyaki has four branches across Metro Manila and a lot more coming – so keep your eyes peeled! Jin-Zai’s menu is pretty straightforward you get to choose flavors from their Classic and Premium ones. As for the price, we’d say it’s a bit pricey compared to other Takoyaki stands in Manila but for the quality of the ingredients and generous serving we’d say it’s definitely worth it!

Journey Freaks’ tip: Go for takoyaki with tamago – you won’t regret it!
Every bite was an explosion of flavors and textures! We loved the texture of the tamago rich, silky, and creamy. Apart from serving takoyaki, Jin-Zai Takoyaki also offers other Japanese favorites such as Bakudanyaki (which looks like takoyaki in steroids), Tepan-tako rice and milktea.
Overall, Jin-Zai Takoyaki is a breath of fresh air in terms of takoyaki experience. If you’re looking for a place to satisfy your takoyaki craving then Jin-Zai is a perfect spot for you – it’ll fill you up without breaking a bank.
