Tired of wearing life vest and how it always limits you? Wanting to explore the underwater world freely but don’t know where to start? Freedive PH offers beginner-friendly courses of freediving (even non-swimmers are welcome too!) without needing to leave the city! Since the Philippines is nested in the heart of the Coral triangle and is the world’s center of marine biodiversity, we believe that it is best to see the life beneath the oceans’ surface closer and personal.
What is freediving?
Freediving is a sport or activity of diving without the aid of breathing apparatus. It is considered as the most natural way to explore the depths of the oceans and be one with ocean but also tagged as one of the most dangerous sport. Freediving is a combination of having a good technique in holding breath and proper mind set.
What differs freediving from scuba diving?

Freediving solely relies on a diver’s ability to go underwater while holding the breath and without any breathing apparatus. Unlike scuba diving with bulky scuba gears or hefty tank rates, in freediving you are only required to just have a mask, snorkel and fins. But don’t underestimate freediving just by the simplicity of its gears, it can get by with technicalities.
About Freedive PH
Freedive PH is one of the leading groups in the Philippines that offers intro to freediving class within the reach. Team Freedive PH consists of very passionate and well-rounded instructors that really take their time to share knowledge and techniques to class-goers. What makes them stand out from the rest of their competition is that they are a one-stop shop – while offering freediving class they sell freediving gears too!
Freedive PH is the brainchild of Jake Alejandre an ocean-lover, freediver and a spearfisher. He considers freediving as a skill that can help our oceans to survive and thrive. He told us that through freediving, people will appreciate and understand the significance of the coral reefs and marine creatures up better. Nowadays, our oceans face many threats and they need our help. If you see others disrespecting our oceans, share your knowledge and educate them. Remember that we only get one chance with our oceans thus we really need to pay attention and help any way we can.
